I mostly spent my time with my dogs today grooming. Dingo really needed to be groomed. I really had not yet groomed him completely on the table. Sassy, of course, got another full grooming. She is just way too much fun to groom. She is such a pretty girl and stands so nicely on the grooming table. Dingo on the other hand, is a stinker. He won't stand still, he flips, he flops, he sits, and lays down... He just doesn't like to cooperate with me. He used to do GREAT, but that was when I was grooming him sitting in the floor. I am convinced he just isn't comfortable with the table yet. But yanno, who knows! It's Dingo... Tomorrow I def. need to trim the fur on the pads of their feet. It's getting really furry and I have a fear he will slide on the contacts this weekend at the trial if I don't get them trimmed. He already misses the contacts because he is so darn fast, he doesn't need help from furry feet, lol.
I also rearranged my grooming area. I got new black rolling carts (that match my grooming table) to put all of my grooming supplies in. I really needed something for all of the supplies I now have. Everything doesn't quite fit in my grooming bag anymore.
I also worked on weaves. Sassy is getting so much better at the weave poles. I am now able to stand up straight and walk forward with her at a quick pace. I was walking backwards slowly and semi luring her. She is getting so much faster now! and more consistent... Of course, Dingo got to work on weaves too. He's not perfect at them. I don't think any dog is perfect at the weaves. But anyways, he really doesn't need that much work, but I'm pretty sure that if I didn't let him do his weaves tonight he wouldn't have let me come back upstairs until we did do them. He is very obsessive with running agility. I get why tho. I mean I myself am kind obsessive with agility as well. I mean dog training is my passion, especially agility.
I am so ready for warm weather though. And nice weather as well. I'm ready for those nice warm, but not too warm days. WITHOUT RAIN AND TORNADOES, too much rain and too many tornadoes this week! I want to get back out at Zach's (where I train for agility). I am also ready to get the agility equipment of my own out of the garage and set up in the back yard. I mean, I have inside and outside agility equipment. And this winter I have been using my inside equipment A LOT, but it's not the same. I don't have enough running room in my training area in the basement.
VHS: Well I also got everything packed up and ready to go to the humane society today. I guess I am planning on taking everything sometime next week. I recounted and I have 62 items now to donate (: I'm so excited.
Ughh, the grandfather clock is dinging 9 and mom is yelling which means- Sadly, it's bed time ): and I still have a lot to do. Spoiled cattle dogs take a lot of work to get ready for bed! Every night Dingo and Sassy get gel put on their teeth (it is kinda like whitening, but it loosens the tartar on their teeth and makes it pop off when you use a spatula).
I have school tomorrow...and then a busy night after school. Wow, I have 2 1/2 hours of dog training with my 2 new client dogs, plus homework, and training/grooming my own dogs. I hope to get it all done in time for bed and all!
Good Night Blog... Tequilla, Dingo, Sassy, and the other "pack members"
