It's officially Spring Break and I am so excited (:
I got up early this morning to train the dogs... (well early for a weekend it was like 10am)
Dingo and Sassy did good. We started out the training session playing with the tennis ball...We ended with Spins and Circles...
I worked Dingo on his Open Obedience exercises. He did great, as always. We worked on his heeling 1st. I am finding out that if I walk kinda fast, he trots, which makes our heeling look beautiful and he stays in heel position. We also worked on Sits and Down stays, Recalls, finishes, Drop on Recall, Fronts, and basic exercises- sit, down, and stand.
Sassy did pretty much the same things as Dingo. I am starting to train her the Drop on Recall so we played the fast down game (my favorite dog training game). I am also trying to teach her where heel position is when we halt. She wants to come into a front every time we halt. I worked her a lot with finishes. She has beautiful finishes, but sometimes she forgets where heel position is. I think the main thing Sassy needs to work on is knowing where heel position is. She wants to come to front and I think that is because front was one of the first things I taught her. lol Her fronts are always perfect(:
Well training went good today. I don't have much else going on today. It's a nice day outside, so I will probably go outside after I eat some lunch here soon. On the other hand though, tomorrow is busy..busy...busy... Church in the morning (till 12), then 4-H 2-5, and then Nanny is coming to spend the week with me while mom works.
This week is going to be a lot of fun... Shopping, Training, and Sleeping in...well and some work I have to do for my dad. (:
I'm going to eat some lunch, I'll update more about training later...
