Training, Grooming, and "Dog" Job Hunting...

Dingo, Sassy, and I went to the EOC building tonight and worked on the new Rally Advanced and Excellent signs with our "Rescues Rule" team. We had a really good time (:
Dingo already has his RAE so tonight went really well. Not to brag, but by now, he is a pro at rally.
Sassy, on the other hand, is just getting started. She did so well! My team keeps saying that I need to enter her in Rally. I haven't trained her much with Rally though. Maybe by the specialty in October or the September trial we will finally be good enough to enter. I was surprised she did so well tonight though, especially since I trained her on an Advanced/Excellent course.
I'm quite proud of the way the dogs worked tonight (:
This week has been spent relaxing. Since we had so much stress from this past weekend at the NADAC trial, I figured the dogs could use a little break. I've still been training them almost every night, just not for 2 hours like normal. I have been spending a lot of the time grooming them. Sassy really needed the grooming! She had so much hair.
Well this week has also been spent summer "dog" job hunting. I can't quite find anything to suit me yet. I really want to work somewhere that has something to do with dog grooming, well bathing and brushing/combing. I don't mind cleaning at all. But I also want some hands on stuff with the dogs. I checked out some dog pet stores, but I am too young to work there yet. I also went tonight to a doggy hotel and spa. I got a job application and everything, but after talking to the owner, I decided it was not the place for me. Too demanding! and they give the kids the "dirty work" and no hands on work with the pets. And it seemed like I would be too stressed working there under those conditions. After thinking about and trying out all the places here that I could think of I got out the phone book. It helped a lot, so I guess I will be checking those places out sometime soon. If don't work out, either no summer "dog" job or a lot more hunting! Sheesh, who knew this job finding stuff could be so difficult...
It is getting late, and I still have so much more stuff to do around here before I can go to bed.
