Please keep us in your prayers! GOD is GOOD

Yesterday was quite a loooong day!
To start the day out I survived my first day of high school. It was not considered an actual day of school, it was a half day (7:30-1) to get our schedules and get re-acquainted with school and friends/people (only for 9th graders). I had an awesome time! We played games, danced, hung out, and lots more! We even dressed up in costumes.  I have Senior classes and I'm only a freshman, I felt pretty proud of myself (: It is a little scary being with seniors, but hey I'm okay with that. I'm in academic honors for a reason! And with God's help I know I will be fine! I am afraid of getting lost, North is a HUGE school! One of the biggest schools of Evansville. I am super excited though and ready for the first official day on Wednesday.

Another big scare with my grandma yesterday! She is having surgery on Wednesday...We need prayers. Everything is in the hands of God.
Well lets back up a little....
A few weeks ago it all started, well some what. My grandma has been sick and having pain for a long time. A few weeks ago we finally were able to convince her to go to the doctor. She is allergic to dairy products and must stay lactose and gluten free from now on. They also did some tests/scans. They found out she has kidney stones and a mass on her other kidney. They then did further, more specific tests. And prescribed her some antibiotics and pain meds so she didnt get an infection because one stone is stuck between her kidneys and bladder causing her kidney to enlarge.
My grandma lives an hour away from my house. My mom and I decided to drive up and be with her for when she got the results of the more specific tests (Monday, August 6th). Before we arrived at her house the doctor had already called her and needed to see her in the office as soon as possible! My mom and I got there as soon as we could and at 2pm we went to the doctor. The test showed that the mass was cancer. And she needed to go see a kindey specialist. The doctor also said that the kidney stone was causing her kidney to enlarge because it was not releasing urine. The stone is 9mm and not able to be passed. This was a huge scare to us all as it would be to anyone. All I could do was pray.
On Tuesday, August 7th, she was able to get into the Kidney Specialist. God must have been watching over us and what a blessing! The specialist said the mass was not cancer, just a bloody sist. He didn't even want to do a biopsy! GOOD NEWS! But here comes the Bad News. Good news almost always comes along with some bad news. He said that the kidney stone was causing kidney damage. He said that the damage could be reversible if surgery was performed soon. My grandma must have a stint put in and the stones removed. The stint will stay in for a few weeks. She will then have another surgery. The stint will then be removed. The specialist found another kidney stone in her other kidney. This one is a 10mm and obviously too large to pass as well... She will have it removed in the second (or third, not sure) surgery. The specialist said this is a very painful process. Please keep her in your prayers! We are all worried for her. She means so much to me and I love her very very much! Please pray for the doctors knowledge and her health.
The specialist also told her that people can't even pass stones half the size of hers. These are quite large and obviously why she has been having so much pain.
Well fast forward a few days to yesterday, Friday. Friday morning she woke up covered in a bad rash. (she took her antibiotic that morning- been on it for a few weeks now) Later, we discovered that the rash was a delayed reaction to her antibiotic. She then took benadryl (for itching) and pain medicine (for the pain in her back from the stones). Well late last night she called us. Her throat felt funny like she couldn't swallow and was swelling and her lips were tingly. Mom, dad, cousins, aunts, her niece (who is a nurse) we all talked and called my grandma. We think she went into a chemical shock. We all were worried about what was going to happen. Since she took so many medicines she was sooo sleepy and it was 11pm. We all worked to keep her awake because we were very scared that her airways were going to shut off and she wouldn't know it if she fell asleep. Everyone called her off and on for several hours and we got her awake. Thankfully she was okay after several hours. And today she is feeling better, still itching from the rash, but better! Many thanks to God for watching over her! We have been put through much stress these past few weeks and until she is well, much more. But all this is in Gods hands and I know He has a plan. He has blessed us many times this week.
Hopeful for a successful surgery and a quick recovery!
With God, anything is possible (:
