My grandma is doing better today... She is recovering from her surgery that took place yesterday evening. She's having the normal pains and all but nothing to panic over. She is still in need of continued prayers. She will have her third surgery in 4-6 weeks and she is meeting with her surgeon next week sometime. I hope this surgery is successful unlike the first 2. But I guess if you are trying to look at the bright side. Although the first 2 surgeries may seem unsuccessful they can be used as research and knowledge to the doctors/surgeons. I'm sure God has a plan.
On a side note, Dingo, Sassy, and I are entered in Rally next weekend at the Evansville Obedience Club September trial. Wish us luck! Dingo and I are doing Excellent Team Rally. He hasn't showed in Rally since getting his RAE several months ago. Sassy and I are entered in Novice Rally. She needs 2 legs for her RN title. We are only entered once though.
The Australian Cattle Dog National Specialty is quickly approaching. We will leave October 6th and be gone the whole week at Purina Farms. I can't wait! I think Mick will be making his big debut that week (: Such excitement. I also get to miss a whole week of school. Hoping for a stress free and fun week spent with the best dogs ever (:
A few weeks before Nationals is NADAC trial (September 21st- 23rd)... Our Q for the cure trial. It is such a fun weekend and I love that we get to raise money for the Komen Foundation (Breast Cancer Awareness). Every run that you qualify in a certain amount of money is donated to the Komen Foundation. We also sell shirts and the money is given to the Komen Foundation. It is such a great trial. A good cause and a ton of fun. I always love NADAC trials tho. There are so many runs. There's like 12 runs a day for each dog!
A few weeks before the NADAC trial is the Vanderburgh County Humane Society Fido Walk (September 15th). The Fido Walk is such a fun event. As you know, if you have been following me for the past months, I do a lot for the VHS. I asked for my birthday, items just for the VHS. It was great, I was able to donate around 100 items. I also have been donating items at least once a month to them. It's great. Anyways, for the Fido Walk...It's a one mile walk or 5K run... You ask people to sponsor you which raises money for the Humane Society. It's great. There's also a costume contest, Best trick, look alike contest, and other contests. Plus there's a ton of booths set up to buy things and play games, and the money all goes to the VHS. I love it!
I have a lot of dog events going on these next several weeks. I am really excited. I love my dogs and I always love to spend as much time as I can with them.
It's getting kinda late. Good Night Bloggers,
Tequilla & the Cattle Dog Pack, plus Lab Pup
