What Happened.......

In 10 days:
* 3 Ultrasounds
* IVs
* CT scan (had to drink this nasty dye stuff...
Within the past 10 days I've been throught a lot, to say the least.
Well to start off.... I've been having this extreme back pain (lower right) for like a month now..and its been getting a lot worse so my mom finally, last week, took me to the doctor..he took a ton of tests and couldn't figure out what was wrong (we thought bladder or kidney infection, but = negative) So he had me taken to the hospital for an ultrasound (at deaconess hospital). They took an ultrasound (my first ever ultrasound) and found out I have a cyst on my ovary.....When we found out the results the nurse said the cyst is on my left, well my pain is on my right...so my mom took me to my gynecologist....well she couldn't read the ultrasound (technology difficulties when they transferred data from one hospital to the other) and it was a red flag tht my pains on my right but the cyst on the left....We think the radiologist labeled the side wrong...I had another ultrasound and we found out the cyst ruptured...but now I'm still in extreme pain. We still dont really know now what's going on and pain medicines don't help at all...Yesterday I went back to my gynecologist (St. Mary's Hospital). And another ultrasound! This ultrasound didn't tell us anything, but just confirmed the cyst was no longer where we once thought it was. Today I was taken back out to Deaconess Hospital, where I got an IV (my first IV ever) and a CT scan. I was super scared and nervous about getting an IV. It was not near as bad as I thought. The first stick didn't bother me at all! I was actually laughing because mom reminded me of something funny Sassy did at the dog agility cure trial this past weekend. The CT scan went good. The IV didn't hurt until the fluid started up. The fluid/dye in the IV makes you really hot in your neck/face and then rushes to your feet (like a hot flash) and you feel like you pee your pants, lol. Also an hour before the test I had to drink water mixed with this dye stuff. It was really nasty! The IV is still a little tender yet this evening. I was so proud of myself though. I only cried a little bit at first (before anything even happened) because I was scared. I will hopefully get results back tomorrow or Friday...And I hope to finally get well SOON!
Thanks to everyone for all of the prayers!
My IV

Just finished my CT scan... Mom was allowed to come in the room with me when they removed the IV and released me...I asked the nurse if I could please have a picture(:

I was very proud of my hospital bracelet! (:

At the hospital before the CT....Drinking the nasty dye liquid...listening to music....texting my best friend Macy

Making a face because the liquid tasted sooooo bad!

My drinks....I took a picture of them, so I would never forget how nasty they tasted!

I got bored and took lots of random pictures!

Me on the way home, after everything.... I SURVIVED (:

On a sidenote, this past weekend was the Race for the Cure. I participated in the Q for the Cure. It's a NADAC dog agility trial that the Agility Club of Evansville puts on each year. For every qualifying score 50 cents is donated to the Komen foundation for Breast Cancer. We also have many other fundraisers at this trial. (T-shirts, half pots, silent auctions, etc). We were able to donate soo much money this year. It's such an awesome cause and I am so glad me and my dogs were able to participate in it.
The dogs did pretty good this weekend. I had a very rough time though. Running was quite difficult and painful. I had a friend run my little girl Sassy a few times for me because I was in so much pain (Thank you Pam).
