Of course everyone knows what prom is. Well there's also something called Santa Switch. It's where the girls ask guys and it's for 9th and 10th graders mostly. As most of you know, I'm in a relationship with a guy named Michael who shows Australian Cattle dogs, that I met 2 years ago but really started talking to this year at the ACDCA National Specialty. Well I decided I wanted to ask him to Santa Switch (obviously since he's my boyfriend, right?) Well since we live 145.6 miles from eachother (about 2.5 hours) I wasn't quite sure how to ask him and if we could even make it all work. For Santa Switch, all the girls think up really cute ideas to ask their dates, well it's kinda hard to think up a really cute idea to do when your boyfriend lives so far away! I talked it over with me mom (after I thought up the cute way to ask him)....We decided first that we better ask his aunt to make sure that she would even allow him to go...So mom did great! She called Diana and made the plans that she and him are going to drive to my house on December 1st through the day, while I am at a Bridget Carlson dog obedience seminar, and then that evening Michael and I will go to the dance together while Diana and my mom hang out (they have been friends, even before Michael came into the picture, so it works out perfectly) and then him and Diana will spend the night. Anyways, on the phone mom told Diana not to say anything to Michael because I wanted to ask him!!! So that's where my project came in...I designed a sign that said "Santa Switch dance?" and made Dingo hold it. I taped the sign to his dumbbell. Getting him to hold his dumbbell with paper attached was a bit of a struggle at first but with a few minutes of training, it worked out perfectly...I then realized that I had reindeer antlers in the basement and thought it would be absolutely adorable to have Dingo where them while holding the sign (I mean it is a winter formal)....It turned out absolutely adorable! I emailed Michael the picture...Waiting for his responce was the tiring part though, because I was super excited and wanted to know what his thoughts were about it!
And Michael said...............................
"YES I'LL GO WITH YOU <3"

This was his actual really long response tho.... |
